The Ukrainian General Staff denied any involvement in a reported strike on a bus carrying Belarusian children in Russia’s Bryansk region calling it a Kremlin information provocation according to The Insider. In a separate development the two sides conducted another exchange of fallen soldiers’ remains with Ukraine receiving 522 bodies and Russia receiving 33 The Insider reported citing official statements. Previous exchanges this year had involved larger numbers including transfers of 1 000 Ukrainian soldiers’ remains in April according to The Moscow Times.
The Netherlands announced a 500 million euro roughly 580 million dollar military aid package for Ukraine on June 17 focused on drones produced by Dutch companies and U.S.-sourced weapons the Dutch Defense Ministry said. The pledge brings the Netherlands’ total contribution to the U.S.-led PURL initiative to 1 billion euros according to the Kyiv Post. Dutch support for Ukrainian drone capabilities has now reached approximately 1 billion euros overall the government reported.
