The operation took place under the supervision of Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs Major General Hamed Manahi Al-Dawas with Head of the Security Directorates Sector Major General Hamad Al-Munaifi also present. The directorate targeted a range of violations including traffic offenses narcotics possession and breaches of residency and labor regulations across the area. According to the ministry the campaign formed part of broader efforts to strengthen enforcement throughout Jahra Governorate.
The ministry reported that officers issued 142 traffic violation citations during the sweep. Three individuals were arrested for possession of narcotic and intoxicating substances while six persons were detained on charges of absconding and violating residency and labor laws. Three vehicles wanted by the judiciary were seized in the course of the operation.
Two unidentified individuals were additionally arrested bringing the overall total to 151 violators when all categories are combined the ministry stated. All those detained during the campaign were referred to the relevant authorities for legal processing. Similar campaigns have been carried out regularly in the governorate to address ongoing compliance issues.
Arab Times reported that a February 2025 security campaign in the same Saad Al-Abdullah area by the Ministry of Interior resulted in 1789 traffic violations 11 arrests for residency and labor law breaches and the seizure of 10 wanted vehicles. The ministry has maintained a consistent schedule of such operations across Kuwait with data from the General Traffic Department showing 19788 violations recorded in a four-day sweep during June 2026. Those efforts also produced 76 residency law violators detained and 17 wanted vehicles impounded according to the department.
A September 2026 campaign by the Capital Governorate Security Directorate led to 46 residency law violators arrested and 38 individuals wanted on arrest warrants detained along with 14 absconders the ministry figures show. That operation included the seizure of 25 vehicles wanted for judicial impoundment and the removal of 57 abandoned vehicles. Coordination with entities such as the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition resulted in the closure of a shop selling spoiled meat during the sweep.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed that security campaigns continue across various governorates to enforce the rule of law apprehend wanted individuals and violators and maintain security and stability nationwide.
