Al-Nasr Handball Club Retains Bosnian Coach Davor for New Season Buildup

Arab Times reported that Al-Nasr handball team coach Manawer Dahash announced the early finalization of the club’s full coaching setup for the upcoming campaign. The management moved quickly to extend the contract of Bosnian head coach Davor following a string of encouraging results under his direction during the previous term. Dahash added that the entire technical team across all categories is due to reach Kuwait at the start of August to launch preseason work.

The Arab Times account detailed further appointments that round out the structure with Tunisian Mohamed Ali named as the senior team’s goalkeeping coach. Tunisian duo Emad Eddine and Hossam Eddine will head the under-17 and under-15 squads respectively while Egyptian Mohamed Saeed assumes responsibility for the under-13 side. This blend of regional expertise is intended to support consistent development from grassroots through to the first team.

According to Dahash in remarks carried by Arab Times the incoming staff will follow a structured program aimed at elevating both physical fitness and technical abilities among the players. Assessments of emerging youth talent will form a central element of the work with the goal of creating a sustainable supply line to the senior roster. Such foundations are viewed as essential for long-term competitiveness in Kuwaiti club handball.

Dahash told the newspaper that the coaching panel is examining multiple foreign player candidates drawn from differing handball schools. Selections will follow exacting technical benchmarks to ensure alignment with the squad’s precise requirements and to strengthen its trophy ambitions. The review process remains ongoing as the club seeks reinforcements capable of immediate impact.

The coach praised Al-Nasr’s management in the Arab Times interview for wrapping up these arrangements months before the new season begins. He highlighted how the advance planning equips all teams to approach competitions in optimal condition and with clear objectives. This timeline reflects a shift toward more professional preparation cycles within the domestic game.

Kuwait Handball Association data reflected in International Handball Federation records shows the country hosted the 2026 Asian Men’s Handball Championship in January marking the fourth time it has staged the event. In the Kuwait Handball League that opened in September 2025 Al Kuwait sits atop the table while SofaScore statistics place Al-Nasr at the bottom with two points from eight fixtures. The national senior side meanwhile brought in Aron Kristjánsson as head coach in March 2025 extending a period of renewed investment across Kuwaiti handball.
